Stop Striving—Start Receiving
Why Are We So Tired?
Many of us are exhausted—not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally drained. We wake up every day feeling the pressure to perform, to be perfect, to meet expectations. We’re constantly trying to prove something.
But Jesus offers a different way.
He says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Notice that? Rest isn’t something we achieve—it’s something we receive.
Your Identity Is Not a Hustle
We often approach faith like a job interview—trying to impress God, hoping He’ll accept us. But in Luke 3, we see something revolutionary. Before Jesus did anything—before He preached, healed, or performed miracles—God already declared His love for Him.
What if your worth isn’t tied to what you do, but to who you belong to?
- You don’t have to hustle for God’s approval.
- You don’t have to strive for people’s validation.
- You don’t have to carry the weight of proving yourself.
Your identity isn’t achieved. It’s received.
What Would Change If You Believed This?
If you stopped striving and simply received the truth that you are already loved, already chosen, already enough—how would that change the way you live?
Maybe you’d stop saying “yes” to everything out of fear of disappointing people.
Maybe you’d stop chasing perfection and allow yourself to be human.
Maybe you’d finally let go of the anxiety that comes with trying to prove yourself.
Jesus didn’t live from a place of striving. He lived from a place of sonship. And that same invitation is open to you.
Today, take a deep breath. Let go of the pressure. And receive the truth that you are already enough in Christ.
That’s the Gospel.
That’s the good news.
And that’s what will change everything.
